Challenge
The objective of the Smart Car Design Challenge is to design an autonomous car driving algorithm by interfacing the camera and lidar inputs to the buggy car.
For the Regional Finale, in the Gazebo simulator, the participating teams need to complete the race track in the virtual environment using a camera as input and identifying the traffic signs.
Post selection in regionals, the selected teams will move to the Nationals, getting hardware NXP buggy kits to perform all tasks on actual real-world tracks, along with obstacle detection using Lidar.

Challenge Guidelines
Only students of 16-26 years, currently pursuing UG/PG in Engineering from registered in Indian colleges (enrolled in colleges during October’24) can participate.
To participate in the challenge, Registration is mandatory via www.nxpaimindia.com .
The competition is worth 1000 points of which the distribution will be given in the Competition Regulations.
NXP AIM India has the sole right to establish and update the Official Rules & Regulations of the Competition.
Every project element submitted by participating teams will be NXP AIM INDIA’s property .
